Ms. Karyn Gove

Welcome to Spanish at ChARTer~TECH High School for the Performing Arts! Ms. Gove teaches both Spanish I and Spanish II. Ms. Gove attended Rutgers University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Latin American Studies. She also attended the University of Valencia in Valencia, Spain, where she extensively travelled through historic and majestic Spain. Ms. Gove previously taught Spanish at an International Baccalaureate middle school in Cherry Hill, NJ. Ms. Gove adheres to the NJ Department of Education's philosophy on world languages. Individuals who effectively communicate in more than one language, with an appropriate understanding of cultural contexts, are globally literate. Through spoken and written language, students will engage in meaningful conversation to understand. Through the study of the Spanish culture, students will make connections and gain an understanding of the perspectives of other cultures.
