Comparative Graduation Requirements

- Participation in a local program of study of not fewer than 110 credits in courses designed to meet all of the Core Curriculum Content Standards, including but not limited to, the following credits:
- At least 20 credits in language arts literacy
- At least 15 credits in mathematics
- At least 10 credits in science through 2000; at least 15 credits in science effective with the 2000-2001 grade 9 class
- At least 15 credits in social studies, including satisfaction of NJSA 18A:35-1 and 2 (2 years of US History and 1 year of World History)
- At least 3 ¾ (15 credits) in health, safety, and physical education, distributed as 150 minutes per week (during each year of enrollment) as required by NJSA18A:35-5,7 and 8.
- At least five credits in visual and performing arts through August 2001; at least 10 credits in visual and performing arts effective with the 2001-2002 grade nine class.
- Cross-content workplace readiness, which may be satisfied through infusion into existing courses, course equivalents, or career education courses.
- At least 10 credits in world languages effective with the 2001-2002 grade 9 class.
- Must meet local attendance requirements
- Must pass the HSPA.

- Participation in a local program of study of 160 credits in courses designed to meet all of the Core Curriculum Content Standards and NJ State Graduation Requirements including the following credits:
- 4 years English (20 credits)
- 4 years Mathematics (20 credits)
- 4 years Science (20 credits)
- 1 year of World History, 1 year US History I, 1 year US History II, 1 year of History through Media (20 credits)
- 2 years (10 credits) Spanish
- 4 years (20 credits) Health and Physical Education
- 4 years of a performing arts course (40 credits)
- Cross-content and Workplace Readiness standards will be satisfied through infusion into existing courses.
- 2 years (10 credits) Performing Arts/Academic Elective.
- Must be in attendance 90% of the days in session each semester
- Must pass all sections of the HSPA
